" KIDS DAY" 2008

Our "Kids Day" registered count was 175 diehard youngsters, which were many considering the weather. We estimate another 400 parents, friends and visitors were present.  A great day indeed. Check these few facts about "Kids Day". We cooked at three locations and served over 40 lbs. of hot dogs. Refreshments numbering 15 cases of soda pop, 100 pints of iced tea and 100 pints of lemonade. Gifts given at registration to every child totaling $1500 and prizes drawn at the days end totaling $3600. Fish were purchased amounting to $2000 and placed Friday evening.

Rain gets us started at Beauforts.

Our 2008 "Kids Day" was a fiasco! The pounding rain and flooding made fishing next to impossible. But still, all had good time. While stocking fish, grilling hot dogs or helping youngsters catch a trout. T.T.C members and guests had a good time.

Many thanks to all who helped with this event. Including the guys who fixed the dams days before we stocked trout. The garbage can crew. The members helping pass out gifts. The good souls cleaning up. And our membership support for coming on such a dismal day.

Everybody, thank the people in our sponsor book who made this event possible with their generous donations. This event happens from direct donations by these local businesses and area leaders. The "sponsor space" sales amazed me again. This book is posted on this website please visit it and see who does support this event, and suprisingly some "big store" names you won't see in the book.
