Working in the stream

Tubmill Trout Club has partnered with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Group and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. W.P.C. representative Ben Wright asks our club for the volunteer efforts needed in talking with landowners, and hands on help with projects. Input is needed for prioritising areas of interest concerning heavily eroded areas and trout habitat improvement. Design, permitting, materials and construction equipment have always been a difficult effort to coordinate. With this partnership these problems will be overcome . As a result Tubmill and Hendricks runs will improve. Using Ben's words "we want to make Tubmill's watershed the crown jewel of the Laurel Highlands" and together we'll make it happen. Goes to show, you keep knocking on doors and someone will finally answer. How about that..... LIN
Well that door has been opened and the following photo pages shows the proceedure of work done by just a few hard workers. Future projects are in the pipeline and these concerned groups will need continued involvement with landowners and willing workers sharing time to improve our streams.
